Green Habitat
The project aims to house 100 people by adding two light floors on top of an existing building. The new housing units are arranged to match the original column grid in the lower floors. The added floors will be built using low-cost, eco friendly, and lightweight materials that do not add structural load to the building and blend well with its overall look.
At the heart of the design is the integration of nature, with green spaces between the houses used as shared areas for home and garden purposes. Each house is connected to small planting beds where simple herbs and plants are grown to serve the residents and give them a feeling of calm and belonging.
In this way, the “house with a garden” becomes more than just a home; it is also a place for reflection and mental rest in the city center. The project supports a balance between privacy and community, between urban life and nature and offers a sustainable, human-centered housing model that respects the needs of both individuals and the community.
