Recognition Through Land
Project type
illustrator , photoshop , autocad & sketch up
Date
01/02/2026
Location
Negev
The project proposes an architectural approach that views the land not merely as a physical resource, but as the foundation for identity, community, and recognition. Based on historical, social, and environmental research of the unrecognized Bedouin village of Ras Jrabah, the concept of "Recognition Through Land" was developed—an approach that seeks to achieve recognition by strengthening the relationship between people, the land, and agriculture. The proposal integrates housing, agriculture, infrastructure, and employment into a single system that responds to the site's natural characteristics and the traditional Bedouin way of life. In doing so, the project envisions a sustainable future in which architecture extends beyond the creation of physical space to empower the community, support economic independence, and foster integration within the region while preserving its local identity.
